• 11-12 PNAHA LeagueInformation

The PNAHA Scheduling/Competition committee proposed the 2011-2012 league reauthorization proposal during the September PNAHA Fall Meeting. It passed unanomously.

    • League Notes:
    • It is important to recognize that game times vary occasionally due to unseen conflicts. Because of this, be sure to call or e-mail the team you will be visiting to verify your game times and dates. If you should discover an error in the schedule, I would appreciate it if you would notify me immediately at hockeytrins@charter.net.
    • Everyone on the bench MUST hold the credentials as required by USA Hockey.
    • The home team is responsible for ensuring that the score sheet reflects that the game is a League Game, the correct game number, as well as the proper age division; this will be either Squirt, Tier II or B. It is the home team’s responsibility to send the score sheet to me. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit loss to your team that will count towards your league standings. Copies of your score sheets are to be mailed on the Monday following the competition.
    • Some concern has been voiced in past seasons about time outs and running clocks. The procedure is addressed in section VI. League Play, Sub-section D. In essence, there are no ”time outs” in league play.
    • Of particular importance is section IX. Discipline, Sub-section A. Note that this rule is fondly known as the “double jeopardy rule.” Be aware that if your player incurred a game misconduct in a league game, he/she must sit out the next game, league or non-league played by that team in compliance with USA Hockey rules for serving game misconducts. If there is an intervening non-league game, the penalty would also have to be served at the next scheduled league game. The net result is your player and/or coach sits two games for the same misconduct. Should you have any questions regarding this issue feel free to call me.
    • Host hotels for each participating association can be found on this website. You also need to make sure that your parents are aware that Entertainment Cards and discount coupons do not apply at these establishments. You are getting a hockey rate that has been negotiated by each association. These rates include a donation to the local associations that help defray expenses and contribute to keeping your registrations from skyrocketing. Failure to stay at a host hotel will result in a $200.00 fine to your team per night. Please note that the host hotel policy only applies to league play, Tiering Activities and State Playoffs. Exhibition games and invitational tournaments are exempt from this policy.

In closing, I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone for his or her cooperation in submitting information to prepare the schedule. Your patience during this process has been appreciated. I am looking forward to a successful season for all. Let’s play HOCKEY!
