The U.S. Women's National Team dropped a 5-2 decision to Canada in the third stop of the Qwest Tour here tonight at the Spokane Arena. Gigi Marvin (Warroad, Minn.) and Jenny Potter (Edina, Minn.) were the goal-scorers for the United States.

Rivalry always hot between U.S. and Canada
When the U.S. Women’s National Team faces Canada Friday night in Spokane, Wash., in the third game of the Qwest Tour, it will mark the first of three tour meetings between the rivals and the fourth of potentially ten pre-Olympic matches. U.S. goaltender Jessie Vetter said the rivalry has no danger of growing stale or muted given so many games before the big show in February.

NHL Network Set to Broadcast U.S.-Canada Women's Hockey Game Friday
The NHL Network (U.S.) will broadcast live the U.S. Women's National Team's Qwest Tour game against Canada Friday (Oct. 16) at the Spokane Arena in Spokane, Wash. Set for a 7:05 p.m. PT faceoff, the game marks the first of four Qwest Tour matchups to air on the network.

U.S. Women’s National Team Rolls Past North Dakota, 11-1, in Second Game of Qwest Tour
Nine players scored in leading the U.S. Women's National Team to an 11-1 victory over the University of North Dakota in the second game of the Qwest Tour here tonight at the Gardens Arena. Natalie Darwitz (Eagan, Minn.) and Monique Lamoureux (Grand Forks, N.D.) each scored twice, while Gigi Marvin (Warroad, Minn.) tallied a goal and two assists after her high school jersey was retired in front of a hometown crowd of 1,236.

Lamoureux twins face future team
It will be a preview of many things to come when the U.S. Women’s National Team takes on the University of North Dakota on Saturday in Warroad, Minn., in the second game of the Qwest Tour. Especially for Monique and Jocelyne Lamoureux, who will join North Dakota next season after their year with the U.S. National Team.
