2010 IIHF World Junior Championship Gold-Medal Game to Re-Air on Sunday on NHL Network (U.S.)

The U.S. National Junior Team's 6-5 overtime victory against Canada in the gold-medal game of the recently concluded 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship will be aired on the NHL Network (U.S.) Sunday (Jan. 10) at 3:30 p.m. EST.

Buffalo counting down the days
Among the thousands of fans streaming through Saskatoon, Sask., for the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship is a small collection of people that are watching the games with an interest in more than the outcome. A group of organizers from Buffalo are on site to prepare for next year when the city will host the first IIHF World Junior Championships on U.S. soil since 2005.

The U.S. (5-0-1-0) will face Canada in the gold-medal game Tuesday (Jan. 5) at 7 p.m. CST.

U.S. National Junior Team Defeats Finland, 6-2, in IIHF World Junior Championship Quarterfinals
The U.S. National Junior Team scored three third-period goals to pull away from Finland, 6-2, in the quarterfinals of the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship. The U.S. (4-0-1-0) will face Sweden in the semifinals tomorrow (Jan. 3) at 8 p.m. CST.

U.S. National Junior Team Falls in a Shootout, 5-4, to Canada
The U.S. National Junior Team scored two shorthanded goals but fell to Canada, 5-4, in a shootout in its final preliminary round game of the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship. The U.S. (3-0-1-0) will face Finland in the quarterfinals on Saturday (Jan. 2) at 8 p.m. CST.

USA Hockey Selects Buffalo, N.Y., to Host 2011 IIHF World Junior Championship
USA Hockey announced today it has selected the Buffalo Sabres and HSBC Arena in Buffalo, N.Y., as the host for the 2011 International Ice Hockey Federation World Under-20 Championship (commonly referred to as the IIHF World Junior Championship). Dwyer Arena on the campus of Niagara University will serve as the secondary facility for the event. The 10-nation tournament features the world's best players under 20 years of age.
