12th Annual Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award Ceremony Set for Boston

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award, bestowed annually upon the top player in NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey, will be presented on Saturday, March 21, at a brunch ceremony at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston. Held in conjunction with the NCAA Women’s Frozen Four (March 20 & 22), the event will take place at 10 a.m., as the 12th winner of the award is announced.

As part of the weekend festivities, USA Hockey will join with the NCAA and Boston University in hosting a free youth clinic at Agganis Arena from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, March 21.

: The Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award is an award of The USA Hockey Foundation ... The top-10 finalists for the award will be announced on March 2, while the top-three selections will be released on March 10 ... The award is named in honor of the late Patty Kazmaier, who was a four-year varsity letter-winner and All-Ivy League defenseman for Princeton University from 1981-86.
