January 19, 2010 - A big congratulations are in order for all 6 travel teams that participated in the MLK weekend Big Bear Brickyard tournament in Indianapolis, IN. All 6 teams did a fantastic job in this tournament. The squirt bronze team fought extremely hard and won their first three games with shutouts only to lose a difficult double OT 2-1, shootout loss to the eventual champion Winterhurst Warrior team. The squirt silver team played a level up and played all their games against gold and elite teams but playing at this level only seemed to fuel these young men to step up. They did a great job and lost in the consolation match 1-0 against the Afton Americans. The PeeWee silver Albanese team played well against all their opponents but fell in a very physical loss to the Niles Rangers on Saturday night eliminating them by one point from the championship game. The mite silver, peewee silver and bantam silver all were crowned CHAMPIONS!!! The mite silver team scored 2 goals in the final 4 minutes to force a 4 on 4 sudden death OT where they scored and squeezed out a 4-3 OT victory over the Wilmette Braves. The PeeWee silver Frankenbach team coasted to it's championship trophy with a powerful 5-0 victory over a St Peters Spirit team from Missouri and went undefeated in the tournament with 5 consecutive victories. And lastly the Bantam silver team had a great 8-3 victory over the Winterhurst Warriors in possibly their final St Jude tournament for many of the 2nd year bantam players. Special Congratulations to Matthew Moro #87 (mite), Joe Scurek #5 (peewee) and Brad Matejka #18 (bantam) for their MVP awards!!!!!    Mite PeeWee Bantam

 January 24, 2010 - The 1st annual St Jude winter classic game has been scheduled!! The St Jude Knight Mite bronze team will be hosting the Joliet Jaguars at the outdoor rink in Evergreen park at 9000 S. Kedzie. The game will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 1-3pm. The event will include a pre-game ceremony, post game ceremony and friends and family open skating party at the conclusion of the game. All St Jude players, friends and family will be allowed on the ice following the game so BRING YOUR SKATES. We encourage all St Jude players to attend the event wearing their jerseys. A party will be held following the event hosted by Barracos pizza at 95th and Lawndale.

 January 20, 2010 - This years mite bronze team is rostered with all first year travel players and the majority are 2002 players but you wouldn't guess this to see them play and their tournament successes. The bronze team has played great hockey and this has shown in their 2nd place finishes in both the Dells waterpark classic and the Johnys ice house santas shootout. Keep up the good work boys/girls and good luck in the upcoming NIHL playoffs!! |

December 2, 2009 - Congratulations are in order for 2 Knight teams for their successes in Thanksgiving tournaments. The Mite AA team captured the Championship trophy in a decisive 4-1 victory over the hosting Vikings at the Vikings Thanksgiving tournament. With victories over the Vikings and Huskies in round robin play, the Knights made the championship game and executed. Congratulations boys.  
The Bantam AA team came in 2nd in the Chicago Classic after falling just short against a very good visiting Canadien team. After 3 periods the boys trailed by one goal so Coach McGrenera attempted to overtake the Canadiens by pulling the goalie to give the Knights an extra attacker. Unfortunately, this strategy fell short and the Knights lost 3-1. The team also brought toys to donate to the Toys for Tot program.   |

The A-2 program is a developmental league for Mite age players to get a taste of Travel hockey. September 3, 2009 - The 1st annual St. Jude family picnic was held on Sunday, August 23rd and was a great family day and a big success. The day kicked off the  2009/2010 hockey season with the families having the ability to meet the 2009/2010 coaches and see both old and new friends. September 4, 2009 - Exciting News!!! St. Jude Hockey Club and Hockey Director, Joe Frankenbach have announced the rosters for the St. Jude travel teams for the upcoming 2009/2010 season. Rostering Day This will be your player's first team practice. You will make your first payment. You will fill out all paperwork and turn in either your post dated checks or credit card info. Your player will be fitted for jersey if he/she needs one. Your player will sign official roster. A Parent must be present at Rostering Day. Click More for the rosters

May 17, 2009 - The St. Jude Bantam blue team and the St. Jude Mite blue teams won the  SWSL  Championship. Both teams had exciting games in 3-2 victories. Congratulations to the players, coaches and managers of both teams!
